Apulia and Sicily

2 WEEKS IN SOUTH ITALY

From the Eternal City via Puglia to Sicily.

Day 1

Arrival at the airport and welcome by our operators. Transfer to hotel, Rome.

Day 2

Visit to the Vatican State and the enchanting Roman squares.

Day 3

We arrive in Puglia, in the heel of the Italian boot, and we are immediately enchanted by two seaside towns overlooking the Adriatic: Polignano a Mare and Monopoli.

Day 4

Today we travel through the verdant Itria Valley, with its characteristic dry-stone walls, trulli and vineyards. We visit Alberobello and Locorotondo.

Day 5

Puglia, a land of millennial olive trees and in the middle stands the white town of Ostuni.

Day 6

Today we reach the Florence of the South, the capital of Baroque: Lecce.

Day 7

We change destination and landscape from Puglia to the island of Sicily, starting from Palermo.

Day 8

Palermo welcomes us with a stroll through the scents of the Mercato del Capo, where we will taste the local street food.

Day 9

Today our destinations will be Cefalù with its Norman cathedral and Castelbuono, with the Ventimiglia Castle and a tasting of the special “manna”.

Day 10

A day dedicated to the ancient history of Selinunte, with its archaeological park, the largest in Europe.

Day 11

Syracuse, the city of Greek origin, where the Temple of Athena lives near the baroque cathedral, two eras distant but close at the same time.

Day 12

A day to climb the peaks of Europe’s largest active volcano, Mount Etna, after which we reach beautiful Taormina.

Day 13

Goodbye Italy
